Prophecies Being Fulfilled Right Now

All readers should find this information useful.  Depending on your belief system, it should rank somewhere between mildly and critically interesting.  We are talking here of things changing rapidly and everywhere.

If there is one sign associated with the last days, it’s earthquakes.  According to Jesus in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8, and Luke 21:11, there will be great earthquakes in various places

The number of massive earthquakes is actually increasing.  Earthquakes are ocurring in various places(Note: The U.S.G.S. specifies an earthquake in the range of 7.0 to 7.9 as “Major” and 8.0 and above as “Great”.) Consider these facts:

  • From 1900 to 1969, there averaged 6 major earthquakes every ten years; but in the past 25 years there have been 17 major quakes every ten years.
  • During the 11-year period between 1986 and 1996, there were 15 earthquakes of magnitude 7.0 or greater. During the 11-year period of 1997 through 2007, there were 99 earthquakes 7.0 or greater.
  • Japan’s Tohoku earthquake of March 11, 2011, was 8,000 times that of the Christ Church, New Zealand 6.3 quake, and 5,000 times that of the Haiti 7.0 quake of 2010.
  • Japan’s Tohoku earthquake was the THIRD 9.0 in eleven years, the seventh “major” in the first three months of 2011, and the FOURTH MOST POWERFUL EVER.
  • In 2011, the U.S. had not one but two eathquakes in unusual (or “various”) places: Washington D.C. and Oklahoma.
  • Of the ten most powerful earthquakes in recorded history, six have struck since the rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948, and half of those occurred just since 2005.

Almost 2,000 years ago, Jesus predicted the most powerful earthquakes the earth would ever see would occur in the last generation before His return.  Six of the ten most powerful earthquakes EVER have struck in the lifetimes of many of us who were alive at or since the time Israel was reborn.

According to Jesus in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8, and Luke 21:11, there will be famines.  There is a growing global food shortage blamed by the United Nations on the unrest sweeping the Middle East and North Africa.

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), after rising for eight consecutive months, a basket of food staples has reached an all-time high.  A billion people or more on our planet spend their entire one dollar (equivalent) per day on that minimal staple.  Yet, in America, the poverty level is specified at about $30 per day, this in a country where millionaires abound.

Did you know that the amount of food grains necessary to create enough ethanol to fill a car’s 25-gallon fuel tank would feed a person for an entire year?  And one-sixth of all grain produced in the U.S. in 2011 is slated for fuel for cars.  We are putting food in our gas tanks in the face of a starving third world.

So, aside from the flooding, fires, and other devastation that are drastically limiting our food supply, mankind is abusing what we do have in the name of protecting the environment.

According to Jesus in Luke 21:11, there will be pestilence .

CRKP (Carbapenem-Resistant Klebsiella Pneumoniae)

This new emerging nosocomial pathogen is probably best known for an outbreak in Israel that began around 2006 within the healthcare system there.[10] In the USA, it was first described in North Carolina in 1996;[11] since then CRKP has been identified in 41 states;[12] and is recovered routinely in certain hospitals in New York and New Jersey. It is now the most common CRE species encountered within the United States

The following was reported in Time Magazine on-line, appeared on CNN, ABC Nightly News, and in other media…

In seven months in 2010, there were 356 cases of CRKP, according to the county health department. CNN’s senior medical correspondent Elizabeth Cohen reported that “this is the first time CRKP has been studied in L.A. County and the infection rate was ‘unexpectedly high,’ according to a press release by the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America.” It’s not known how many people died from the bacteria, but a 2008 study found that previous outbreaks have resulted in a 35% death rate. While the bug has been officially reported in 36 states, health officials think it’s likely in the other states too, where reporting is not required.

CRKP is resistant to carbapenems, a type of antibiotic that until recently was the “antibiotic of last resort.”  Previously, carbapenems would work against bacteria like Klebsiella pneumoniae that were resistant to every other type of antibiotic.  Bacteria have been developing resistance almost as quickly as we’ve been able to develop new antibiotics.

Outbreaks of CRKP have been documented in the United States, Greece, and Israel.  Most reports are calling this a “superbug”.

Radiation Sickness

About two weeks after Japan’s devastating earthquake-tsunami combo, it became apparent that an even bigger problem loomed.  Now, over three weeks after the disaster, the radiation is pouring out of the Fukushima nuclear power facility via the water that is being used in an attempt to keep a reactor cool, and it is flowing right into the sea.

Soon after the event, radiation-poisoning began causing deaths.  And, since human ability to reduce the emissions from the plant has proven to be near-futile, looking forward we see this unfortunate illness only expanding.

How many times in your lifetime have TWO diseases for which there is no cure for the serious cases presented themselves within a span of a few months?  Add to these MRSA, which threatens death right inside our hospitals. And what about the cases of curable diseases that remain untreated and will lead to death because of our lack of ability to get to the victims in time, such as Ebola and HIV?

Two more indicators…

1.  After 2000 years since the prediction, how do we know that we are in the right time frame to witness Jesus taking his people up from earth? We actually have solid validation of this from Ezekial 37:21-22.  Ezekial predicted, “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.’ “

Guess what? Israel was reborn as a nation on May 14, 1948.

2.  In Matthew 24:34 Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”

Guess what?  That’s us!  We are “this” generation.

May 14, 1948, the final coundown began.  Since then, we have seen each of the predictions materialize, more rapidly as time advances.

Now let’s add these up: TIMING + EARTHQUAKES + FAMINE + PESTILENCE.  Nearly 2000 years ago, when asked a question about what signs should we be looking for (Luke 21:11) Jesus said,  “And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences;..”.

The time is right, the signs are right – where do you stand?   Whether you believe the Bible or not can determine your destiny.  It is a book with an outstanding track record:  prophesies fulfilled = 300+; prophesies in error = 0.  This leaves no room to doubt the Bible’s accuracy, as day by day it’s predictions turn to reality.

Those of us who are saved by the One who inspired the Scriptures have a great future guaranteed, avoiding massively devastating events to come.  Those who don’t will end up going through far more serious trials, fear, and destruction than can even be compared with what is happening today.

Please be informed, understand what the Bible is telling you and what Jesus’ prophesies mean to you and your family and friends.  Take cover in God’s plan of salvation.  If you fail to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior when He comes for His believers, you will have to endure many times the agony you see in the world today, and, even if you survive the Great Tribulation, without turning your life over to God, there is no hope of a life in heaven.
