UN Says Disasters on the Increase

It’s not your imagination. Things are bad—as bad as you thought—and maybe worse. It might not be a surprise to hear me say it, but how about hearing it from the United Nations? Last week the UN Office of Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) released a stunning report. According to UNDRR, “between 350 and 500 medium- to large-scale disasters took place every year over the past two decades.” That’s a mind-boggling Five times the disaster-rate of previous decades. Abandoning Israel – Part I

Within days of Implementation Day for the Iran Nuclear Agreement (JCPOA) and the release to Iran of more than a hundred billion dollars in frozen assets (and other juicy perks), Iran captured two U.S. Navy Riverine Command Boats that were “disabled” in the Persian Gulf.
